Welcome to 2010 Red Sox Pick'Em!

Welcome back for the sixth season.

As usual, fill out your selections and click 'Submit'.  You can choose to be in the pool for ten bucks, or you can play just for fun.  If you play just for fun, your selections will always appear in red in the boxscores.

Don't forget - there's a separate competition for pets. So if your dog, cat, bird, fish or whatever is a baseball fan, get them entered in the pet competition.  We'll see who the top dog, cat (or whatever) is.  The pet pool is for fun only, no bucks.

What's New This Year?

Pickem Strategy -- Starting this year, players have the option to choose a team for the three team questions (batting ave, homeruns and ERA). Sox fans can choose Red Sox team batting average, etc, while Yankee fans can, say, choose the Yankees team batting average.

Also, I think I have a better way to score the playoff teams. Instead of all-or-nothing points awarded for winning or losing the World Series, your playoff selection will score points for making the playoffs, then accumulate more points the further they advance.

Site Design -- I gutted my old code and did a redesign with HTML, CSS and addes some Ajax. It's smaller and cleaner, and should render quicker in your browser. The look-and-feel is different with the black and gray tone in the banner and navigation area along the top. The nav links are bigger, and the larger highlighed background area will hopefully stand out better when your cursor hovers over.
